Act 2 where Prince Philip begins to have second thoughts about his betrothal to Ivona. We offer this video to the body of videos from performances of this play from around the world. This play was originally performed by the Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium (IRC) in September 2012 during the Philadelphia Live Arts and Fringe Festival. The IRC #39;s mission is to present and preserve classic and lesser-known works by authors from the loosely-defined "Theater of the Absurd"; to provide artistic opportunities to actors, directors and designers interested in exploring their craft through this uniquely theatrical form; to expose modern theater-going audiences to absurdism and to develop new audiences for this work. Formed in May 2006, the IRC presents plays whose themes highlight the tragedy and absurdity of living that stems from our desire for omnipotence and immortality, when our actual condition is that of impotence and mortality. We emphasize physical comedy, clowning and vaudeville elements to tell these stories; performing in an intimate setting, the experience is visceral and meaningful for our audiences. Our aim is to reacquaint experienced theatergoers and introduce new generations to accessible interpretations of these important, seldom- performed gems whose characters #39; stories are particularly meaningful at this time in today #39;s world.
