Memory Clinic Testing – Video

Posted: December 2, 2012 at 1:47 pm

Memory Clinic Testing
Dr. Dewayne Nash spent most of his life taking care of others as a family physician in Central Texas. About two years ago, he started noticing that his memory wasn #39;t what it used to be, so he decided to get checked out at UT Southwestern #39;s Memory Clinic. Testing showed that he was in the early stages of mild cognitive impairment---with his strong family history of Alzheimer #39;s, Dr. Nash decided on the spot to retire. Now he is spending his time as a clinical trial volunteer at UT Southwestern and sharing his journey with others through his blog. UT Southwestern #39;s Department of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics created this video to help Dr. Nash tell his story and encourage others to take part in clinical trials. Only through research will we be able to find effective therapies for Alzheimer #39;s, a disease that will affect 12 million people by the year 2030.From:UTSWneurologyViews:0 0ratingsTime:04:36More inScience Technology
