William Shapiro, MD, PhD discusses his legacy at Barrow
In 1989, Dr. Shapiro joined Barrow Neurological Institute as Chairman of Neurology and Chief of Neuro-Oncology and was named the Kemper and Ethel Marley Chair in Neurology. Dr. Shapiro has studied brain tumors in both a laboratory and clinical setting for the past 40 years, publishing more than 200 original papers and chapters on a variety of neuro-oncological subjects.
