Liquid Crystal Pump 2
This is a dielectrically actuated liquid crystal (LC) pump ( blue droplets). In the voltage-on state, it can exert a pressure to displace a small volume of fluid ( transparent droplet ) on the opposite side of the chamber. The promising applications incluede: lens actuators, biotechnology, drug delivery, and other lab-on-a-chip devices.
