Fragrance Review: Jasmin 17 by Le Labo
Presentation: 4:29 | Smell: 6:30 | Rating: 14:19 A fragrance review of Le Labo #39;s Jasmin 17. Where to buy: store.lelabofragrances.com Classification: Woody Floral Musk Perfumer: Maurice Roucel Bottle Sizes Available: 10ml, 50ml, 100ml Jasmin 17 is a woody-floral-musk fragrance that opens up with a blast of Jasmin. While there isn #39;t too much going on in the head of the fragrance, the heart is very busy. An orange blossom note adds depth to the floral character of the fragrance while contributing to its citrus accord. Neroli adds a clean yet bitter scent to the fragrance which is coupled by palmerosa, an herbal plant part of the lemongrass family with a lemon-like smell. The contrast in monetary value between the two ingredients is chuckle-worthy. Litsea cubebea continues to ornament the tart citrus accord with it #39;s own lemony bitterness. Bitter orange take center stage through and through. Vanilla and amber are the sweetening factors in the base, and neither one ever supersedes the other in either sweetness or longevity. Sandalwood adds a slight creamy sweetness and a hint of non-linearity. Maurice Roucel shows us, through Jasmin 17, his versatility and brilliance as a perfumer.
