Michael Loeb, MD
Michael D. Loeb, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Loeb is Fellowship Trained in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and he specializes in arthroscopy and joint replacement surgery. He has a special interest in sports injury, as well as advanced joint reconstruction of the upper extremity. A native of New Orleans, Dr. Loeb graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology. He attended medical school at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at New Orleans where he received the Seese-Voors Scholarship for Academic Achievement. In addition, he was an elected member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, a recognition given to those students graduating in the top ten percent of their class. Dr. Loeb completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic where he developed a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. As a result, he pursued additional training in shoulder, elbow and sports related injuries under the auspices of several recognized world authorities. The training took him around the world, including Zurich, Switzerland, Pretoria, Republic of South Africa and The Mayo clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Loeb #39;s practice focuses on the management of complex shoulder and elbow problems; with a particular interest in joint arthroplasty (replacement), arthroscopy, and fracture management.
