He said that this is not the end of your journey, this is just the beginning of your journey. And this is correct. "Commencement" means "beginning." And so, I #39;m beginning a journey. In two months I #39;m going to be 75 years young. At 75 years young I #39;m starting on a new journey. Let me preface something first. Let me make an analogy. Suppose you see your dog and he #39;s laying on the floor. He #39;s very relaxed. His head is down. He #39;s not asleep, but he #39;s aware of what #39;s going on. And suddenly his head picks up and his ears perks up, and his muscles tense and he stands up and he #39;s looking in the direction of the sound. Pretty soon he #39;s going off in the direction of that sound. And that #39;s what #39;s happened to me. I was listening to one of the courses and I was sitting back in the chair relaxed and computer in front of me and Dr. Paul and Dr. Goswami were talking about the future education and the direction that integrative medicine would be taking in the near future. Gave a lecture yesterday at Bodhi Prem Yoga about getting sick. Part of the lecture mentioned tonsil swelling and inflammation. After the infection is over, you can wait for the lymphnodes in the neck and tonsils in the throat to shrink or you can be proactive. Why speed up healing? Big tonsils hurt! Big tonsils also interfere with voice breathing and sleep. The same premise for decreasing inflammation of lymph nodes and tonsils can be applied to muscle and joint pain (like training for a hike in the Grand Canyon or your everyday arthritis sufferer.
