Meron Azage and Katie Armstrong came to Cincinnati to be part of one of the few genetic counseling graduate programs in the country. The two-year master's program is a partnership between Cincinnati Children's and the University of Cincinnati and accepts 12 students a year. Azage and Armstrong, part of the class of 2012, describe themselves as "medical translators" who have a background in psychology and science and will be able to help families understand genetic disorders.
