Pastor Curt Crist http://www.welcometograce.com First of all what has Paul been talking about here in Romans chapter 5? He #39;s been talking about sin and death, has he not? You definitely reign in those two areas. But, you reign in some other areas as well. We #39;ve already examined the issue of sin and death, and we found that believers need not fear death. 1 Corinthians 15:56 our apostle tells us, that "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law." ..............Death reigned. Death reigns. 2 Timothy 1: 9-11 Paul says: "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began." Don #39;t think that He saved everybody before the world began. God and His foreknowledge knew those who would receive the gift before He ever put the gift on the table. "But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light (how?) through the gospel." Now, let #39;s look at this more closely. Think this one through with me. "Christ who hath abolished death." Paul just stated that very clearly, didn #39;t he? In what way did Christ abolish death through Paul #39;s gospel? Was Paul speaking about physical death when he made this statement?
